Tata Power Delhi Distribution
Tata Power drives digital transformation with OpenText content and process management solution

National power company relies on OpenText Documentum to connect content with process and automation for greater efficiency, speed, and savings
By putting the OpenText Documentum platform at the back end and SAP on top of that, along with a few other mobility solutions, we took a 19-step process down to a three-step process for new electricity connections. We cut the time down from 130 days to 14 days and then 14 days to less than one day.

Challenge
- Former systems lack the functionality to create flexible business workflows required to support digital transformation
- Paper documents and manual processes caused delays
- Users had to switch between multiple applications to find information
Product(s)
Value
- New customer connection times reduced from 14 days to 1 day
- SAP users have seamless access to the information they need to get their jobs done
- Documentum xCP cut development time and resourcing requirements by two thirds
